Finally!

After almost 3 months I finally figured out how to get back into my original blog. Maybe now I can abandon my myspace one. I'll just have to see if I can copy my old blogs on to here. I hate having things scattered all over. I was smart this time and created a short cut to the log in part for this blog. Yay!

Cute flamingos and hideous capris

I have finally at long last decided on the theme for Miss Ellie's first birthday party. I'm going with an ice cream cone theme. Should be easy enough. We have the dress and I just brought a cake pan and some other ice cream themed items for the party. I'd like it if I can get someone to make and decorate the cake for me. It took three tries for me to get Madeline's cake for her 1st bday for her small party. Each cake had some sort of problem. One got stuck in the pan, another looked great and 1/2 hour after it was decorated it fell apart (I never saw anything like it) and the final cake was ok but the icing didn't spread on too well. I no longer make cakes for M's b-days because of the first year. I'll make her cupcakes but that's it.
Our power went out this morning as soon as I put the waffles in the toaster. Wouldn't have been a big deal if we had milk in the fridge that was still good. Bryan never checked the milk before he left for SanFranscisco so I noticed yesterday that the milk was a week past the expiration date. Elsie baby was not happy that she couldn't have her morning waffle. And Madeline, ever the trooper whined about the banana she had to eat for breakfast and kept being over dramatic about the power being out. She was so worried about the TV. Wonder what would happen to her if our TV were to die. Would she shrivel up after a few days due to lack of that bluish tv glow? Maybe we'll find out some day.
My quest to find pants that stay up has hit yet another road block. I waited all week for an order I placed to get here and the pants I ordered are the ugliest I've ever seen. Can't wait to return them. The picture online looks a 1,000 times better than the hideous things that showed up on my doorstep today. My Gymboree order for the girls came in today. I'm so happy that the Flamingo clothes I got for them are as cute as I hoped they'd be. Bryan I'm sure will not be happy to see all the flamingos. Now I just need to get some garden gnome clothes for the girls and I'll be all set.
Bryan should be landing soon. I'm dying for my relief worker to get home so I can relax.
